NorWOSSA badminton exhibition tourny complete

Badminton athletes from across northwestern Ontario descended on Beaver Brae yesterday. They took part in a NorWOSSA exhibition tournament. Broncos coach Wayne Jutila talked about how things were going.

«It’s been really fun so far. I must admit you always get a little nervous when you’re opening the season. But you get to see the competition and it’s been really good. I think we’ve been playing really well today,» he said. Советуем, тренинги для руководителей Киев, Мадрид, Париж.

Teams came from St. Thomas Aquinas, Dryden, Queen Elizabeth, Red Lake and Pelican Falls are attending. Jutila said he’s pretty happy with how his team is progressing this season.

«We’re good. I’m always a little biased but I think we’ve got a real positive squad. You never know until you get to this tournament but I’m glad to see everyone hitting and I’m looking forward to the qualifier next week,» he said.

Slush Pit time at Mt. Evergreen
The sun came out just in time for the year-end Slush Pit at Mt. Evergreen in Kenora. The event wraps up the downhill ski season for members at the city-owned club.

One of the first to attempt a crossing was Tyler Sinclair, but he didn’t quite make it.

«I was going to try to hit the jump, but it didn’t work out. It was a little scary, so I thought I had a little more speed and thought I’d make it across,» he said.

«I’m feeling a little better, now that I’m out of it,» he added, as he wrapped himself in a towel.

Jameson Fregeau took a run at it with his friend, and they almost made it across, after shedding their ski poles.

«It was good. It was fun. Got a little yet, but that’s okay. That’s what we thought we were going to do, when we came out here,» he said afterwards.
